Who we are

We met while pursuing degrees in hospitality. It’s who we are and what we do.  With backgrounds in luxury hotel operations, we started Gold-Inn Hospitality as “interim innkeepers”, managing bed and breakfasts for owners in need of a break. That developed into consulting, and within two years, we had the experience we needed in lodging management and development to buy our own motel in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Our motel

Nestled among the Ouachita Mountains and surrounded by Hot Springs National Park, the Alpine Inn is a boutique motor lodge anchored by a 1905 manor. A 15 minute walk from the Alpine Inn puts you at the start of the Central Avenue Historic District and Bathhouse Row, the heart of Hot Springs.

Captain Tom Lawrence House Inn

For the entire 2015 vacation season, we served as innkeepers of this seven-room bed and breakfast located in an 1861 whaling captain’s house in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. We simultaneously planned a comprehensive renovation and rebranding of the inn, and subsequently supervised its transformation the following winter.

Pandora’s Manor

This six-room, ultra-luxury bed and breakfast located in America’s Furniture Capital - High Point, North Carolina - showcases six of the country’s most prolific interior designers. We served as its opening management team, supervising the completion of the 1905 manor’s comprehensive restoration, while developing and implementing its five-star hospitality program.

Albemarle Inn

This grand 1909 Greek-Revival mansion sits prominently on a forested mountain side in Asheville, North Carolina’s tony Grove Park district. We have managed this property (and its resident cat) twice while the owners were away.

Hey, I'm Baker!

A native of Houston, Texas, I love to roam but I always come back. My passion for travel and service took me to The University of Houston where I got my Bachelors in Hotel & Restaurant Management. After working at two luxury hotels in New York City (The Peninsula and The Plaza), my need to serve my planet and community led to two years working with local governments and nonprofits to promote and sustainably develop the city of Houston. I handled marketing, event planning and community outreach for the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability for the City of Houston, as well as the Houston Bike Share program.

Hi, I’m Justin!

Originally from Mississippi, I exemplify my home state’s legendary Southern Hospitality. My education (Bachelor of Accountancy and Masters in Hotel and Restaurant Management) has served me well in both back-office and front-of-the-house management positions for some of the world’s finest luxury hotel companies (including Rosewood Hotels, JW Marriott, and Four Seasons), as well as full-service luxury apartment management.

We have 20 years collective experience including:

  • Event Planning and Coordination
  • Hotel Finance
  • Cost and Inventory Control
  • Sales and Marketing
  • A Masters and a Bachelors in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston (Go Coogs!)
  • A Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!)

We are currently based in Hot Springs, Arkansas where we own and manage the Alpine Inn, but we are still open to consulting projects. Please contact us to see if our services are a good fit for your property.
